Posted December 16, 2019 by The Bill & Kali Show The Bill and Kali Show National Weather Service Outlook for Monday, December 16th for Milwaukee, Chicago, Indianapolis and Michiana National Weather Outlook Milwaukee A quiet week is expected. The first half of the week will be cold at times followed by milder temperatures for Thursday into the weekend. Milwaukee Live Radar Chicago Another wave of snow is expected to our south later today into tonight. Some of this snow could impact far southern sections of the area across east central IL and portions of northwestern IN. Otherwise, expect mainly dry, but cloudy, conditions across the area today. A brief hit of cold air will result in a cold day on Wednesday, with highs only in the middle 20s. Much warmer weather is expected for the end of the week, and it should extend into the weekend. Chicago Radar Indianapolis Light freezing drizzle will end prior to daybreak this morning, with several dry hours expected through midday. A second wave of precipitation including a band of moderate to occasionally heavy snowfall will expand into central Indiana by mid afternoon and continue into tonight. The heaviest snow is expected along the I-70 corridor where an additional 3-4 inches of snow with locally higher amounts are possible through tonight. For this reason, the Winter Weather Advisory will transition to a Winter Storm Warning from 2 PM into tonight along the I-70 corridor, including the Indianapolis metro area, Terre Haute and Anderson. The advisory will continue through tonight for the rest of central Indiana. Indianapolis Radar Michiana Issued Monday December 16 The first round of accumulating snow is quickly tapering off early this morning, though roads will likely remain slick in spots for the morning commute. The second round of snow is still on track for later this afternoon through mid morning Tuesday, mainly south of US 24 where a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 4 pm this afternoon through 9 am Tuesday morning. Two to five inches of additional snow accumulation will be possible in the advisory area. The rest of the week into the upcoming weekend will feature a quiet weather pattern.
