Can’t wait for the heat to pass on Thursday-Saturday so that the boys from the National Weather Service include other days for which there is weather as well. HINT! Seriously you guys are getting way too excited about a little warming. It’s not like it’s never been that hot before.
OK back to business. Today we are going to see some storms rolling in this morning after 7 am. The NWS has the chance of rain sitting at 60%. I say it’s more like 75-80%. As opposed to splitting hairs over the issue, I will just move on and live my life knowing that it is extremely likely that we will see precipitation this morning in most of the Chicago are. The temperature will reach a high of 80 in the Highland area and slightly cooler near the lake and slightly warming inland under mostly cloudy skies. Winds will gust upto 25 mph out of the southeast. Tonight the threat of rain and thunderstorms increases as the storms move in from the west tromping through the area taking their little sweet time as if no one really cares. Kinda like your crazy neighbor who slowly walks across your yard after you just overseeded it for the third time. Bastard!
Tomorrow 30% chance of rain under cloudy skies. Temperatures in the high 70s in the Highland area, and of course cooler near the lake and slightly warmer inland.
Thursday-Saturday, what the boys at the NWS have been obsessed with and really wanted you to know. It will be hot. 89 on Thursday and sunny, 93 and sunny on Friday and 98 and sunny on Saturday. Let’s stop the earth here boys. That is earth changing meteorological event that has never happened to the point that we say “the heck with the current weather, we are just going to warn people about the heat wave”. No I am not emotional over this issue. Just slightly heightened amusement I would call it.
