Weather Update for Friday June 22, 2018. Rain today at times heavy. Saturday a chance of rain. Flood warnings remain for most of the Chicago area.
Let’s just check today off as being a bust. The possibility of rain all day. Maybe an hour of reprieve between noon and 1, but that it’s it folks. Count on umbrella weather all day today. Some of these storms can produce heavy rains. Most of the Chicago area is still under a flood advisory. Keep an eye on those sump pumps. Also watch low lying areas near fields and under underpasses. The high today will be a relatively cool 68 in the Highland area, cooler near the lake and 75 as you travel inland. Wind will be out of the northeast gusting up to 20-25 mph at times.
Saturday, chance of rain 20%. Mostly cloudy with a high of 75 in the Highland area, cooler near the lake and 77 inland. Winds will be calm at 5 mph out of the northwest.
Sunday mostly sunny, with a high near 79. North wind 5 to 10 mph.
Night time temperatures will be in the high 50s low 60s throughout the weekend.
Monday will be a nice start to the work week. Sunny with a high of 80.
Keep those raincoats and umbrellas handy. The skies will be like a big overfilled water balloon today.
