Weather Update for Thursday June 21, 2018.
Wet, wet and wet. After 7 am we will have some major weather show up in the area. Just like those relatives who make themselves too comfortable when they stay the night, these storms will be messy. The National Weather Service in Chicago is projecting 1-2 inches of rainfall today. Just like the relatives the storms will overstay their welcome. You can drop hints all you want and these SOBs will stay around the whole day and into tomorrow. We will reach a high of 72 in the Highland area and and 64 near the lake while inland will reach 78.
Friday more of the same. Rain and storms will taper off in the afternoon with mostly cloudy skies. The temperature will reach up to 70, cool for this time of year and 63 near the lake, 76 inland.
Slight chance of rain Saturday under cloudy skies. The high will reach 74 in the Highland area.
Sunday high pressure returns to the area clearing up skies and drying things up. The high will be 78 and sunny in the Highland area.
Stay dry….Kali is headed to the store to pick up some tortilla chips since she believes there will be a floods of guacamole over the next few day.
