Weather Update for Wednesday June 13, 2018.
Today a bit of fog early in the morning and cloudy skies until late morning. For the remainder of the day mostly sunny with a high of near 80 for the Highland area, 75 near the lake and 83 further inland. Winds will gust up to 20 mph as the high front bumps its way into the area for a short stay.
Thursday expect mostly sunny skies with a high of 82 in the Highland area, 75 near the lake and 84 as you travel inland. The possibility of rain and thunderstorms increases Thursday night and into Friday morning.
Friday mostly sunny with a slight chance of rain and thunderstorms. High of 87 in the Highland area, 80 near the lake and 88 inland.
Saturday clear skies with a high 92 and humid. 89 near the lake and 94 inland.
Night time temperatures during this period will climb from the comfortable 60s to the 70s. So test out that air conditioner before it gets too hot. This weekend will be a steamer.
Unless you go shirtless, which most of us are hoping you don’t, make sure you are prepared for a shirt change. Humid weather ahead this weekend. So mow the lawn early before it steams up and stay hydrated….with water! Run through the sprinkler with the kids. That will be fun.
The lake temperatures should be warmer for comfortable swimming weather.
