Weekend Weather Update for Saturday May 26, 2018 (Air Quality Alert)
Today will be a sunny hot day. Slightly cloudy, with a chance of thunderstorms in the late afternoon or early evening. Temps should top out at 88 near the lake and 91 inland. Sunday is shaping up to be a hot and sunny day with highs of 90 near the lake and 94 inland. As we approach summer type days you will notice the difference between the lake and inland will decrease although a 10 degree difference is normal.
Memorial Day will be sunny and hot with highs ranging from 82 near the lake to 93 inland. Night time temps from Saturday to Monday will be 63 near the lake to 68-70 inland.
So this is looking like a fun weekend. Turn off the Netflix. Save the binge watching for a rain day. Get out and get you some sun and fun. Remember the sunscreen please. It freaks us out to see overdone red people walking about. You can’t exactly walk up and give people a friendly welcoming slap on the back without a scream being heard. So exercise caution with the sun and also if you have a respiratory condition, please be advised that there is an air quality alert today.
The Illinois EPA has issued a Air Quality Alert for the Northeast counties. See the warning below for more info.
