So this is looking like a fun weekend. Turn off the Netflix. Save the binge watching for a rain day. Get out and get you some sun and fun. Remember the sunscreen please. It freaks us out to see overdone red people walking about. You can’t exactly walk up and give people a friendly welcoming slap on the back without a scream being heard. So exercise caution with the sun and also if you have a respiratory condition, please be advised that there is an air quality alert today.
The Illinois EPA has issued a Air Quality Alert for the Northeast counties. See the warning below for more info.
Illinois EPA Air Quality Alert
An Air Pollution Action Day has been declared Illinois for Saturday May 26 for the Chicago metropolitan area. The air quality index is expected to be in the orange, or unhealthy for sensitive groups range. Active children and adults, especially people with pulmonary or respiratory disease such as asthma, should limit prolonged outdoor activity. More information can be found at http://www.cleantheair.org, http://www.epa.state.il.us/air/aqi/index.html and at http://www.airnow.gov.
