Weekend Weather Update for Sunday May 6, 2018
There is a chance of rain this morning and into this afternoon upto 1:00 pm. Beyond that the probability of precipitation diminishes. If any rain does occur, it will move south in the early evening hours (6:00 pm). Cooler air will move into the area bringing the temperatures down to more seasonable and Springlike. Monday and Tuesday are looking great with the high pressure shepherding in clear skies and moderate temperatures.
But wait, just as you dust off that bike to ride to work to impress family and friends a low pressure mass moves in Wednesday increasing the possibility of rain and thunderstorms. So put away your bike gear Tuesday. You may get another opportunity to show off your tight fitting spandex biking shorts and shirt. Hopefully not for a awhile…..
A cold front will move across the region today bringing some showers to areas north of I-80 this morning and showers and possibly a t-storm south of I-80 this afternoon. The Chicago metropolitan area will see high temperatures reached late this morning with falling temps this afternoon. Skies will be clearing north of I-80 this afternoon.
