Snow continues across northern Illinois and northwest Indiana early this morning but should wind down by late morning or early afternoon. This afternoon, isolated to widely scattered showers are possible and could be a mix of rain and snow. The region will undergo a warming trend through the remainder of the week, with periodic chances for showers and thunderstorms through the latter half of the week.
Our predictions are again notched up a bit. We will be hitting the 60 mark on Wednesday. As the warm air moves in there will be a bit of wind. Gusts up to 30 mph, but relatively warm. Thursday the sun will poke through and so will the temperatures. Some areas in the Chicago area will hit the 70 degree mark. The temperatures will continue to increase on Friday with a chance of rain and thunderstorms. It will be warm so shush. It will probably be safe to plant this weekend since nighttime temps will be above freezing. So bust out those veggie plants and flowers.
