Fair but cold conditions will be in place today across northern Illinois and northwest Indiana. Expect plenty of sunshine through the day which will help temperatures warm to near 40°F. Cloud cover will increase through the day Sunday, and then expect light snow to occur Sunday evening into Monday. Light accumulations of under two inches will be possible, especially on the grass and untreated surfaces.
As usual there is plenty of belly aching and grinding of teeth. We’ve had much worse during April. Sunday through Monday night will be like a late February or early March type of thing with cold temperatures and the chance of snow high. Looks as though we will break the 50s ceiling on Wednesday. From Tuesday morning forward we will experience a warming trend.
With the exception of bulbs, this will be a late planting season so just hold on. Night time temperatures should follow up to a norm here by next week.
