Dry and unseasonably colder weather will be the norm for the next several days. It will feel a bit colder today with breezy northwest winds. Some gradual warming will occur by Saturday, but temperatures will remain on the cool side for early/mid March.
So with the combo of wind gust getting up to 25 mph and the temps being around freezing, it is going to feel unseasonably cold. But Spring is around the corner…right? Just look at it this way. Nothing extreme is headed our way in the next few days. So thank goodness for that cupcake.
I hate to bring this up, but the Kankakee River is still at Flood Warning stages in south Lake and Porter County. Both counties are still investigating the damage done during the heavy rain fall a little over a week ago. That river is at a dangerous level and not receded. Be prepared to negotiate around those river crossing points if we receive additional precipitation.
