Weekend Weather Update for Wednesday, January 31, 2018
Temperatures will moderate into the 40’s Wednesday, before a cold front pushes through the region late in the day. A second stronger reinforcing push of colder air will arrive with a few flurries Thursday, with daytime temperatures falling into the teens and 20’s. Brief moderation back to near the freezing mark is expected Saturday, along with the potential for some accumulating light snow, before temps cool down again into early next week.
Oh how we love the crying and complaining about seasonally normal air moving back into the area. Listen cupcake, we live in the Chicago area! This is where you are expect to lose a digit or two during the winter season. Where frostbite for some is a badge of honor. The temperatures we will be experiencing are normal for this time of year.
With all the clatter going on one would think we are headed into the deep freeze. We are tempted to issue a CLC and a HHHH Advisories but will wait until we see those adverse weather byproducts begin to form. These conditions do not even warrant a Randy Advisory with the exception of Thursday night where wind chill can reach -15.
