Wednesday27Bitterly cold temperatures will prevail through much of the week. A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for much of northern Illinois and northwest Indiana tonight as wind chills will get as low as 30 degrees below zero. The cold will ease its grip , but only slightly Thursday and Friday. The next chance for snow will be on Thursday, when 1-2” of snow will be possible. Snow is again possible on Friday with areas south of I-80 favored, but there is still a chance area wide. The bitter cold returns on Saturday and will remain through the weekend. Seriously, if you know of someone that has been displaced, or without a home or warm place to stay,  please get them to a warm safe place. You will probably save a life. Call your local law enforcement. They often have information on warming or homeless shelters.
