Thursday21

Light precipitation is likely by later in the day Thursday into Thursday night, primarily in northern Illinois north of I-80. Drizzle or a light rain and snow mix is favored at first. There is potential after dark Thursday evening to transition to freezing drizzle within a light wintry mix, again mainly in northern Illinois north of I-80. Looking ahead to the weekend, in addition to the cold weather returning, we are monitoring the potential for snow on Christmas Eve. Because we know you are dreaming, we are dreaming and we know Bing was dreaming so it remains too early to decipher if there will be any accumulations, so please stay tuned for updates at weather.gov/Chicago. So we will let you know when to start singing “Let it Snow”. Just not too loud please, because we’ve heard you sing before and it’s not good.
