Light, to occasionally moderate lake effect snow showers will continue to move into Lake and portions of Porter counties this morning, producing localized snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches before ending late this morning. Be alert for local reductions to visibility and patchy slippery conditions on roads this morning.

Lake effect snow will impact locations near the lake in northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana tonight into Thursday morning, with the highest snow amounts expected to be in northwest Indiana. Hazardous travel likely for the Thursday morning commute.

A 30 percent chance of snow showers, mainly before 7am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 27. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

A chance of flurries. Partly sunny, with a high near 31. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
