Weekend Weather Update – Saturday December 9, 2017

National Weather Service

Saturday9

A period of snow is expected late this evening into the overnight hours. Accumulations will be minor, but it only takes a little bit of snow on roads to make travel hazardous. Those with travel plans tonight, especially late, should be prepared to encounter less than ideal road conditions. Be prepared for wind gust reaching 35 mph. Although not much there can be some blowing snow having an impact on visibility on outlying roads. For those who are forecasting 5-10 feet of snow…. Really?! Listen up, there may be some lake effect snow in the Northwest Indiana area, but those folks are used to it being located south of the lake. If the situation changes, we will dial all you up personally to keep you apprised of the weather situation. I can tell you about the two models and what they are indicating, but I figured you folks got enough sleep. Really don’t want to see those eyes roll up in your head cuz that is kinda creepy. So I will leave it there. Have a nice weekend. Start that snow blower. If you don’t use it this weekend maybe soon. Besides, it’s always good to start that 4′ wide self propelled auger snow blower as your neighbor watches basketball. Have a good one folks.
