Weather Update for Chicago Area Wednesday, October 25, 2017
Precipitation Wednesday morning will begin around, or just prior to daybreak in north central IL, as a brief period of light snow before changing back to rain. This activity should shift out of the area by early afternoon. Temperatures on Wednesday are likely to remain chilly, with highs only in the upper 40s to low 50s. Clearing skies and light winds may bring patchy to widespread frost to parts of the area Thursday morning. Thursday afternoon will be light winds and sunny skies. Winds and clouds will be on the increase Thursday night and temperatures should not be as cold, so frost would not be a concern early Friday. There is a chance of rain Friday, especially for the eastern half of the area in the afternoon and night and then area wide into Saturday. A brief period of light snow is possible Saturday morning before changing back to rain.
